CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
2012/2013 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Hamilton Arts Council invites nominations to serve on our Board of Directors commencing June 2012.

We are seeking energetic and engaged members of the community to fill upcoming vacancies in our Board of Directors. We encourage applications from people of all walks of life.

A slate of successful candidates will be presented at our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday June 12 2012 to serve a two-year term from June 2012 to June 2014. Elected Directors are eligible to serve an additional two two-year terms to a total of six years.

Interested parties are asked to complete and return the application form provided no later than Monday May 21 at 5:00pm. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting.

OAC Theatre Grant Workshop with Pat Bradley

The Hamilton Arts Council will be hosting a grant writing workshop and Q&A with Pat Bradley, the Theatre Officer with the Ontario Arts Council (OAC). Held in advance of the August 1st, 2012 deadline for Theatre Projects, this workshop will offer insights and tips to Hamilton theatre artists into the process of writing a successful project grant.

This workshop will take place at the Pearl Company Theatre space on the first floor of the Pearl Company. This space is fast becoming one of the hottest venues for independent theatre production in the city of Hamilton and is the perfect venue to host this special event.

All theatre artists are welcome and admission is FREE courtesy of the Hamilton Arts Council and the Pearl Company.

CALL FOR MEMBER PROFILES

Starting in February 2012, the NEW Hamilton Arts Council Blog will include an ongoing series of Member Profiles that will celebrate the work of our member artists and organizations across all disciplines.

New Member Profiles will be posted to the blog on a bi-weekly basis and will be scheduled wherever possible to ensure equal representation of the range of creative disciplines supported by the Hamilton Arts Council. Members in good standing interested in being included in this recurring feature are invited to download the attached PDF and email their responses to:
