Welcome Annette paiement as Executive Director

The Hamilton Arts Council welcomes Annette Paiement as our new permanent Executive Director.  Annette stepped into and fulfilled the role on an Interim basis following the departure of former ED Stephanie Vegh. In her capacity as Interim ED, Annette introduced such programming as the Art Bus Studio Tour and implemented the launch of our I Am An Artist campaign. We're very pleased to welcome her onboard full time as we enter into a new year!

Before coming to the Hamilton Arts Council, Annette has had extensive experience in the arts and culture sector. As Managing Director from 2014 - 16 Annette helped to launch The Cotton Factory brand programming events and their unique brand of creative coworking. Annette launched and served as the Director of the AGH BMO World Film Festival and Manager of Film, Performance & Special Events at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. This led to her role as Artistic Associate at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto where she curated a season of diverse multidisciplinary festivals and events. Annette is a past Board Member for the Hamilton Arts Council, Co-founder of Matapa World Music and Arts Organization and holds an Honours Degree in Sculpture from OCAD.
