The Hamilton Arts Council is seeking applicants for the position of Arts Outreach Assistant. This is a temporary 7-week position funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
The Arts Outreach Assistant will work on site in the Hamilton Arts Council office under the supervision of the Program Director and may also be required to attend meetings at other Hamilton-area arts venues. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team comprising staff and volunteers depending upon the nature of the assigned task.
As this position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Program, candidates must be between the ages of 15-30 and must be full-time students intending to return to their studies in the coming school year in order to qualify.
This position will commence Monday July 9 and conclude on Friday August 24. The Arts Outreach Assistant will work 30 hours a week with specific hours to be determined by consultation with Hamilton Arts Council staff. Compensation for this position is $10.25/hour.
