Balé Folclórico Da Bahia: Bahia of All Colours

Balé Folclórico Da Bahia is the only professional folk dance company in Brazil, formed in 1988. This marvelous company, with its dancers, musicians and singers, represents the culture, the traditions, the beliefs, the history, the colors, the music, and the movements of the people of Bahia.

Live and Local Music Series: Mary Simon & Stuart Laughton’s Trumpet Romance

With a certain je ne sais quois of lyrical sensibility, melodious composition and timeless storytelling, Mary Simon has a “gritty roots rock” sound, not to be missed. Stuart Laughton returns to the Live and Local Series with his one man multi-media show, Trumpet Romance, using narration, trumpet, guitar, harmonica, and a series of projected images – filled with gentle self-irony and humour.
