I Am An Artist Awareness Campaign Launch

I AM AN ARTIST

Artistry is a vision within the creative soul. It is a literary, visual, digital, and an audible spark that propels one to create and be creative. Artists share this creativity through many mediums and enhance the lives of others with this energy. “I am an Artist” is a representation of creators and their craft – a window into the many disciplines that produce “art” and “artists”. Through digital technology, we can begin to unravel the purpose, the energy, and the soul of each artist within various sectors of art and design. Although a single compilation, the singular beauty of each artist is displayed through their passion.

Join the Hamilton Arts Council as we invite all of the Hamilton community to attend a celebration to launch our new #IAMANARTIST media campaign!

The Hamilton Arts Council has installed 30 banners along the King William Street Art Walk in order to celebrate the diversity of Hamilton's Artistic Community and to showcase the many disciplines which fall under the moniker "Artist".  The project has been sponsored with the generous support of the Ontario Arts Council, Incite Foundation for the Arts, Orbital, Impressive Printing, the Hamilton Community Foundation, and the City of Hamilton. Hamilton Arts Council staff will be on-hand to share news of the other projects we are workingnon.

The "I Am An Artist" awareness campaign includes a micro-site at www.iamanartisthamilton.com which will also launch December 8, 2017. As well, Hamilton-area artists can use the hashtag #IAMANARTIST to promote their work and practice. We hope you will join us in this vibrant social media awareness campaign to showcase the creative diversity of our community.
