From Ruthven to Passchendaele [Studio Babette Puppet Theatre]

From Ruthven to Passchendaele at SpringWorks 2017

Join Studio Babette Puppet Theatre for a unique experience as they honour the memory of those who served Canada in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, with this true story, poignant yet delightful, of one family's inspiring courage. Fourteen new table-top, rod puppets, on a multi-functional stage, recreate scenes that range from the meadows of Ruthven House, to the degradation of No-Man's-Land, to the antiseptic solace of the hospitals in London. Please plan to see this site-specific historical production that celebrates the continuing heritage of Brock's Rangers. In honour of the 100th Anniversary of World War One. The show is ideal for ages 10+, particularly middle-school children who will soon be studying WWI. It is also very appealing to history buffs and seniors.
