January 14, 2017 to April 29, 2017
Opening Reception Friday January 13,  7 pm

By now it’s a surprise to no one that the city of Hamilton is in a significant state of transformation. Just consider the number of artists whose work is devoted to the changing face of its skyline, its neighbourhoods, and its urban nodes. With featured works from Paul Elia, Stephen Brookbank, Gord Leverton and David Trautrimas, this exhibition presents a range of perspectives on our city’s urban spaces, and the delicate, beautiful balance that often exists between its industrial vestiges, heritage architecture, and civic revival.

The AGH Annex exhibition space features experimental contemporary art installations by artists from Hamilton and farther afield. The AGH Annex provides artists with a new location in which to present works in all media, including new media. The space welcomes Hamilton residents and visitors to engage with contemporary art in a highly visible and accessible venue in the heart of Hamilton’s James Street North Arts District.
