WOODing [Carnegie Gallery]

August 4 – 27, 2017

Curated by Sarah Reid
August 4 – 27, 2017 in the Barber Atrium
Opening reception: Friday August 4, 7 – 9:30pm

Wood touches our everyday lives, including through the art we encounter. The use of wood in art is functional and versatile, as well as beautiful. The wood-firing of clay, the turning of a wooden bowl, the printing of an inked woodcut each reveal the creative possibilities of this natural material in their own unique way.

The exhibition features the work of: Duncan Aird, Wayne Allen, Ralph Heather, Nicholas Holmes, Donna Ibing, Louise McCann, Dan Shannon, Paul Simon, and Lori Skinner.

Friday, August 4, 2017 (All day) to Sunday, August 27, 2017 (All day)
