GALLERY STONEY CREEK JULY/ AUGUST EXHIBITION: THE WORKS OF MICHELLE GUITARD
Michelle Guitard was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1969. She works predominately in the medium of acrylic on canvas, focusing on landscapes, birds, florals and more notably,her canoes. Her canoe work is seen each Spring at the Dundas Valley School of Art Annual Live Auction. She also participates in their silent auction.
Michelle's studies include a diploma in graphic design from Georgian College and a Fine Arts Degree from York University.
She volunteers her time at Wellwood, a community based cancer support centre in Hamilton. She teaches adult workshops as part of Wellwood's supportive care programs. Most recently she helped in raising funds at the launch party for the Bright Run. This run is in support of breast cancer research and is held at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.
Michelle currently lives in Ancaster. She spends most of her time painting and teaching art at her studio, Art and Soul Creative.
Michelle exhibits her work throughout Canada and her work is now part of many private collections throughout North America.
