The Hamilton Arts Council Culture Guide promotes and celebrates music, visual arts, literature and the performing arts in the Hamilton region. Published annually, the Guide tells the stories of the artists, performers and musicians that call Hamilton home.
A new 2018-19 Culture Guide, featuring a larger design and a more content-driven format, has been published and was circulated across the region by the Hamilton Spectator with additional copies being circulated. This year’s Guide will feature the following articles:
- Hamilton: A Home for Artists by Tamarra Kamermans exploring the complex question of space and artists in the city.
- Reading the City by Jessica Rose gives an overview of the rich literary tradition thriving in Hamilton.
- Health in the Arts by Ned Currie chronicles just some of the ways artists are maintaining health of body and mind.
- Two select features on the McMaster Socrates Program and the HCA Dance Theatre's Together In Dance.
The NEW! Culture Guide is FREE and is being distributed to coffee shops, cultural venues, and businesses throughout the city in addition. For your FREE copy of the Culture Guide, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
