Annette Paiement
Executive Director (Interim)

Since September 2014, Annette has been working as the Managing Director of CoWork at the Cotton Factory, located on the 3rd floor of The Cotton Factory at 270 Sherman Ave. N. in Hamilton, ON. A brand new co-working and project space catering to creative entrepreneurs, non-profits, and the arts. During this time she has been responsible for promoting and managing a 10,000 square foot event space in the Cotton Factory.

Annette is an honours graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, and the Canadian Film Centre’s New Media Lab's Interactive Art & Entertainment programme.  

Annette’s primary focus the promotion of arts and culture. Her role as the Director of the AGH BMO World Film Festival and Manager of Film, Performance & Special Events at the Art Gallery of Hamilton led to her role as Artistic Associate at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto where she curated diverse multidisciplinary festivals and events.

Annette is a current Board Member for the Hamilton Arts Council and past member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce’s Arts Committee. Annette launched the AGH BMO World Film Festival, the Eco Film Festival and is the co-founder of Matapa World Music & Arts Organization.

Her past role at the Art Gallery of Hamilton as the Manager, Film, Performance and Special events saw her leading the AGH Gala Committee with the development and implementation of the AGH's annual fundraising campaigns. She was lead on all music programming and successfully produced 7 AGH Annual Galas, 3 fashion fundraising events and produced a number of sold out concerts.

In 2012, she launched a series of musical performances at the AGH Design Annex.  In partnership with Matapa Music and Arts Organization, she initiated the development of the 2013 Roots enRoute, a performing arts festival celebrating Black History Month and coproduced a series of concerts.

As the Founder and Director of the AGH BMO World Film Festival, her focus was on festival programming, curation and event development.
