Art of Creating the Oral History [Building Cultural Legacies]

Come and learn the art of conducting oral history interviews.  Whether you are interested in recording your own family history or working on anoral history project, this workshop is for you.  These sessions will help you get organized, develop proper interview skills and etiquette, and provide helpful tips for executing a successful oral history interview.  Please contact Hamilton Public Library, Local History & Archives at 905-546-3408 to register.

  • Tuesday August 14th 2:00pm-3:30pm
  • Thursday August 16th 5:00pm-6:30pm
  • Saturday August 18th 2:00pm-3:30pm

This workshop is presented in conjunction with Building Cultural Legacies, a project that will collect and share the history of Hamilton visual arts scene from 1950 - 2000. Building Cultural Legacies is made possible by the Hamilton Public Library, the Hamilton Arts Council and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
